Alberta Group Assists Cadets
February 12 and 13, seventeen members of 700 Wing, 702 Wing, 703 Wing and 783 Wing report to Lindsay Thurber High School in Red Deer to assist the Alberta Provincial Committee with the annual Air Cadet scholarship selection boards. Our member played many roles from board members, officers, and administration. We were among 111 volunteers who interviewed 192 cadets in 226 selection boards in support of the Air Cadet program.
Our presents continue to provide support and leadership of these wonderful young people who will become the leaders and our future.

Recognition for Support
February 3, 2016, 783 (Calgary) Wing presented Cpl Doyon of 41 Brigade a commemorative coin for his on going support as a volunteer to 83 (Juno Beach) Squadron Air Cadets. He has volunteer with supply, instruction and support for over two years. His knowledge has been a great help to 83 Sqn. Thank you for your great work!
783 (Calgary) Wing Supports Veterans
January 25, 2016, we present a cheque for $5,000 to Diana Festjo the executive director of the Legacy Place Society in support of their programs.
This society exists to build family resiliency and legacies to withstand the unique challenges faced by Peace Officers, Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Services, 911 Dispatchers and Military Personnel. Their objectives include Accommodations, Peer to Peer Support, Web Based Resources, Family Camps, Humanitarian Mission Trips, Education Bursaries, Benevolence and Legacy Tribute and Family Resiliency Workshops. Her presentation was an eyeopener for some of us as we weren't aware such support for our Front line responders was available.
783 Wing Visits Lieutenant Governor

Keith and Barb Mann, Brian and Anna Lewis, Kenn Nixon and Pat Sulek were up in Edmonton supporting the Alberta Provincial Committee working their Casino on New Year's Eve. We decided that we should attend the Lieutenant Governor's Levee. We joined Major Randy Fisher to bring in the New Year. President Pat presented Her Honour Lois Mitchell, CM, AOE, LLD. with the 90th Anniversary of RCAF and 65 Anniversary of RCAFA Coin on behalf of 783 (Calgary) Wing.
